Yesterday I have give my website a new theme. The problem is that now the website is loading very slow. Does anybody know why? How can I make it faster?

Your image file sizes are huge; reduce them. See http://gtmetrix.com/reports/lifesplash.nl/bcstKM1w for other suggestions. Try WP Super Cache and set up browser caching.

I have the W3 Total cache plugin, is that good enough? And which images do you mean, the images from my posts or my theme?

All the images.

Use Firebug with Firefox, or use the developer tools in Chrome or Safari or IE to see what’s loading on your site and the size of the image files.
