The userlogin folder had even more files in it.
The cache folder seems to cache information for your site so it can be served slightly faster. If’ deleted my cache and/or stuff within it without any trouble, WordPress will recreate it at somepoint in the future.
Just had another look in the users folder. I was wrong when I said that I had around 2000 files, it was roughly 250000 files in the folder!!! Feels like a bug to me, or have I done something wrong?
Ummm, how many visitors or users do you have? I can’t be certain, but I would hazard a guess that something is a little wonky there!
I’m not completely sure exactly what the cache caches, but I think that many sounds like too many. My WP is not accesable yet, so they only one poking around it is me, and my cache is only about 85KB, what is the actual size (ie Kilobytes) of the entire cache folder?
Michael.
Thanks for helping out, the size is 0kB, all the files are 0kB.
My advice, just delete the cache folder, I’ve done so many times without any problems. You may wish to back it up, but deleting it seems to cause no problems.
Cheers,
Michael.
I think this is the problem. Just upgraded to 2.0.1 and when doing the upgrade script I get these errors. I remembered that I had same errors when upgrading to 2.0.
This is the error message.
