    This may not be helpful if you are already locked into Brightcove, but I did create a vimeo uploader field for Advanced Custom Fields that has been working great for two of my clients.

    You can download it for free: https://bitbucket.org/jupitercow/acf-vimeo-uploader-field

    It requires a pro account, and setting up an “app” with upload access, but it allows you to let users upload to your account, or upload yourself.

    If there is interest, I am definitely open to customizing it for more uses and adding short codes. I am loving working with Vimeo so far.
