How to add author meta?

    Just want to say grate work for the theme, love it! Im running 3.5 wordpress blog and i have multy authors on my website, so i need to display author meta with small picture next to it. Adding it somehow to the existing meta of the theme would be perfect. Thank you

    My php is bad so im assuming its possible to get author meta displayed in single.php by adding something here:

    <div class=”post-meta”>
    <span class=”info”>
    <span class=”date”><?php the_time(‘M. d’) ?></span>
    <span class=”category”><?php the_category(‘, ‘ ); ?></span>
    <span class=”comments”><?php comments_popup_link( __(‘no comments’, ‘silverorchid’), __( ‘1 comment’, ‘silverorchid’), __(‘% comments’, ‘silverorchid’)); ?></span>
    </span>

    I tried adding:

    <?php the_author_meta( $field, $userID ); ?>

    and

    <?php get_the_author_meta( $field, $userID ); ?>

    but that didnt work, any suggestions?

    Can you please let me know how you did this? I am using the same theme as you and I have the same problem. I need the author name to show up in the post meta.
