Gallery Carousel not working?

I’m trying to get the gallery carousel to work when the user creates a gallery through wordpress. It isn’t working though. The when a picture is clicked, it just links directly to that picture in a separate page.

I looked around and installed jetpack and created a new wordpress.com account to connect with, but it still isn’t working.

I disabled that plugin and installed a plugin called “Gallery Carousel Without JetPack” and it still wasn’t working.

does anyone have any idea what i’m doing wrong?
