Hi,
We noticed this is the version just before the current one. Facebook used to give us the count at a particular graph URL. Then, it stopped giving the count. So, we switched to another URL and the problem was fixed in the latest version.
So, could you confirm that it’s not fixed even with the latest version (after you update). Today being a Sunday, we’ll look into it tomorrow. Also, it’d be really helpful if you could post your site’s URL here.
Regards.

Hi,
Thank you for replying on such short notice.
I updated the plugin but it seems it only retrieves the “shares” and not the “likes”.
I would like to get the total count like in this link.
The site’s URL is http://www.equaltimes.org/
Is there a way to fix this?
Thank you again for your help!

Hi,
That is how the plugin is. The straightforward like offered by facebook couldn’t be emulated without including the facebook js. This would’ve defeated the plugin’s purpose.
Also, facebook kept saying that share and like are going to be the same, soon. So, we just used share. Facebook has made some more changes and luckily, these are in favour of rtsocial. So, what rtsocial has is a share button, not like, currently. We, now, thanks to Facebook’s changes, can have separate like and share buttonss.
However, this update requires a lot of changes to the code. Being Christmas time, we are a little short of resources and so, for a while, we’re only providing bug fix support. There are other major changes in the pipeline for rtSocial, as you can see here:
https://github.com/rtCamp/rtsocial/issues?state=open
So, kindly support this plugin, by having a little patience, this time. It’ll be totally worth it.
Regards.
