Experssion theme – captions

Hey!

I’m using Expression theme. I realize it imports image metadata and applies as caption. However, it can be a bit slow to go back to Adobe PS/Br to re-apply metadata. Is there some place within each portfolio setting where it can be written in? Maybe a plugin lets me do this?

Also, the first photo in each portfolio is generally the strongest, but this is where the introductory text to the gallery belongs. If using the default caption setting, it writes it out at the low end of the screen (white background) pushing the image into a smaller size. Is it possible to apply a layover/trasparency/popup caption effect, so the image can still appear in its full vertical size?
