Does the problem occur in any other themes?
Other than that, validate the site.

It occurs in every theme, including Kubrick. I downloaded the latest zip and uploaded it all overwriting everything and did a upgrade. I switched it over to Kubrick to further illustrate the other problems.
Can you just install another WP in a sub-directory just to see whether it’s your account-related??
I’m having the same problem. The strikethroughs are on every theme, and I can only see them on Internet Explorer and not Firefox.
I checked my MySQL database, and I could find no HTML “strike” tags.
On IE, I see them here: http://www.nyyblog.da.ru/weblog/
I tried deleting my WordPress directory and uploading a new set. I kept the same config.php file and re-adding the Steam theme. They’re still there…
In your css near the bottom you have this line:
small, #sidebar ul ul li, #sidebar ul ol li, .nocomments, .postmetadata, blockquote, strike
Try removing the last word – ‘strike’
Long shot but it’s a good place to start.
I removed “strike” from Steam’s CSS file. It didn’t work. Thanks, anyway. Can anyone else offer some help with these strikethroughs?
I see <DEL> tags. How come?
Today’s appearance was his first of the spring for the Yankees.<del datetime="2006-03-20T01:00:56+00:00"> Pretty sure that’ll definitely cause your “strike through” issues – no closing tag for it either.
While making the post, I probably clicked the delete button, which is right next to the block quote one.
That worked. Thanks. 🙂
