upgrade 3.5
-
I upgraded to 3.5 and the content editor is not working. I can not edit old posts or create a new post.
Any idea as to when WP will push out a new update?

Are you using the BulletProof Security plugin:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/post-editor-missing-in-wp-35-after-upgrade?replies=37– reading the troubleshooting 3.5 master list to see if any of your problems is listed there: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-35-master-list
– flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder from a fresh download of WordPress. by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides (Manual Update).
– re-running the upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php
still not working.
Could you elaborate a little bit more.
My content editor is not working. I cannot edit post or create new posts. It is completely blank.

So you did all the troubleshooting steps (deactivating all plugins, switching to the default theme, re-uploading all files & folders)?I deactivated all plugin and still not working.
I don’t know how to re upload all files and folders. My site is working so I don’t want to mess that up. I am afraid that if I start messing with stuff I will mess my site up.
Well, if you don’t “mess” with stuff, then you can’t actually fix the problems you’re having.
Your issue in particular is most likely a problem with your .htaccess files in some manner. A took a look at your site, and the main problems are definitely coming from bad rules you have in there somewhere.
If you have an .htaccess file in the wp-admin folder, then delete it. It should not be there.
Samuel Wood (Otto) says:

Elaborate on that, please.

Otto, thank you very much! The problem is solved. There was a .htaccess file in the wp-admin folder. I removed it. I didn’t put it there myself but I think that there was a safety plugin which has done it. I don’t know which plugin.
Do you tell me that there are bad rules in this file? Can you tell me how I can fix this?
new media manager does not work! When I finished the upgrade to 3.5 german (without error), I recognized that I can’t insert medias into an artcitle. I also can’t upload new images. Opening the Media I see all the images I already have uploaded bevore. What is going on there??
This WILL solve it. i found it here. u have to add some lines to your wp-config.php. sad that its broken. real sad 🙁
