I’m going to need a simpler solution than that tutorial and the plug-in doesn’t work because I don’t have the right PHP? Anyone else?

It looks a bit better now that I’ve tweaked it in Photoshop, but is there anyway to find out the dimensions of the background?
That theme has no set or minimum width background so it will expand to the size of the browser window. The #container div is set to 936px width — so that’s the area that will be covered up by the content of the page. Your background image is 1750px × 853px.
I’m hoping for it to look the same on as computers as it does on mine. What would be the best way to set it up so it doesn’t look too different on other computers. I know that’s impossible, but what I’m doing is probably not the best way to go around it. Do you suggest I make it 936px width? Also should I leave as fixed?
I’m not sure what you mean by the “same as on my computer.” What is it that you want it to look like — I’m guessing a certain amount of the background to show on the side(s)?
