hover not working in widget

Hi,
I love this plugin !!
It works perfectly when I using the HTML code in a static page, but when I add it to a widget I can see the images on top of one another. I am sure that there is something REALLY basic that I am missing…
My code is:
[himage] <img class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-42″ title=”Macedon-001″ src=”http://trailsplus.annette.name/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Macedon-001.jpg” alt=”” width=”199″ height=”149″ /><img class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-13″ title=”Macedon” src=”http://trailsplus.annette.name/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Macedon.jpg” alt=”” width=”199″ height=”149″ /> [/himage]
What I see in the widget area is:
[himage]
image 1
image 2
[/himage]**I can see the two pictures on top of one another.. with the hiimage text on the top and botton.
