• I have searched this site and found a few posts – but nothing with any work arounds that actually work on my site.

I have installed 2.0 and it runs fine the first time I have logged in. After that – it just quits and nothing I do allows me back in. I just keep getting “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

I have tried deleting the cache folder, changing the metauser table, reinstalling (about 7 times now). This is really frustrating that no one has a real workaround for this issue.

    HELP!!!

  • I also have just done a clean install of 2.0.4 on an Apache 2 server, with MySQL 5.0, PHP 4. The install appears to work without problems. The database and tables are correct as far as I can tell. When I login using the admin id and the generated password, I get the notorious “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” message for the file /wp-admin/profile.php. I have tried all the workarounds relevant to this message that I could find in the forums, but none have fixed the problem. If there is a known resolution I’d appreciate knowing about it.
