    Hey everyone,
    i just moved to word press from blogger. loving wordpress….

    I want to create a member section on the sidebar. For example, once members have signed up I want them to see a little section on the top that would say Hello “member name” and want to have some links that are only viewable once they are logged in. For example their favorite posts etc…

    is there something like this out there? please let me know.

    This is a much desired plug-in. I found one site that claims they have such a thing (I think it is Edwards.org) but the plugin was taken down from their download area and not now available. For months that site claims a newer and better version will be done “soon” … anything else around?

    Actually, that plugin does NOT do what the original poster (OP) asked.
    Searching the forum you may find code snippets that check whether the visitor is logged in and display some specific message (like: hello, user_name).

    But there is no “favorite posts” feature in WP.
