Change every instance of http to https?
-
Hello,
We have an SSL certificate through GoDaddy. We’ve been having a problem where some people can see our online registration forms and some can’t. I explained the issue to GD’s tech support like this:
There are some pages with registration forms on them. These registration forms include a credit card payment. When loading one of these pages, some people can see the registration form, while others just see a blank white space with nothing. We have been told that the reason is because there are some non-secure parts of the page mixed with secure parts, and that is causing the browser to “block” it.
I received this reply:
The error you are receiving is caused by the way your site has been designed. You have a combination of secure and non-secure objects on the page. For example, if your secure website was https://www.domain.tld and you added an object (an image, script, flash file, etc.) to that page that was located at http://www.domain.tld/image.jpg, you would break the seal.
To me, this sounds like I have to manually changed the URL of any image on every once of the pages to be https instead of http. As you can imagine, this sounds like a nightmare. Is there a quick way to do this, maybe on the server side/through SQL, etc… I need help quick! 🙁
