Remember to press CTRL and F5 simultaneously when viewing an updated page/site. Or try emptying your browser cache. This should ensure that your web browser fetches a fresh copy of the page rather than serving up an out-dated copy from your own cache.
Also disable/deactivate any caching plugin(s).
make sure you are not using a caching plugin, if you do then purge the cache.
I emptied my broswer cache and did not install any caching plugins. But when I hover over the images in the post, the old titles still appear. When I hover over the images in the media library, however, the new filename appears. Any other suggestions?
The plugin may only the filename of the images – not the title attribute used when posting them. Have a look at http://quirm.net/2011/10/18/remove-image-title-attribute/
@esmi. That was very helpful. Thank you.
Hi
I’m not a programmer nor am I advanced in word press by all means. We just started using it for our small non profit website and I’m running into the same problem explained here. When I go to the link provided above though, it seems that the only way around it is for it to be done by someone who knows about plugins and such, which I don’t. Any other way or renaming the images? thanks!
@firstresort – it’s really best to start your own thread on these forums – as info in an old thread may no longer be current and/or it may not apply to your particular site.
