Hi quadworks, thanks for the idea. I’m not sure I understand completely though.. may I ask what the date tags would be used for? Also, would the user decide the dates from a dropdown or just enter any two dates? If you can help me understand I’ll see if it’s possible/feasible.

Jeff,
thanks for your answer. The date tags would be used to schedule a post. We are implementing some kind of board, where users can post their art-exhibition or one-day-events. Thus we need optional starting and ending dates. Before the starting date, the post is not displayed (like WordPress’ schedule-feature). Between the dates, the post will be displayed. Afterwards, the post will vanish into the archive.
Hope, it’s clearer now 🙂
I’ve seen some self-hacked solutions, but we like to move to WordPress to benefit from some other features… You may have a look at the current implementation here: http://www.artblogcologne.com/share/ – it’s a Calendar in German, for art events mostly in Cologne.
Thanks in advance!
Jörg

Hi Jeff,
any news on this? Did you think about my idea?
The easiest way is probably to add custom fields. Guests have to enter a date manually, but I give it a try. If you feel like adding start and end-dates and a date picker… 🙂
Best
Jörg
Hi quadworks, it sounds like a do-able idea but the trick is finding time to implement, it’s just been super busy these days 🙂
