Make sticky posts load as normal posts

Hello

I use the theme called “skylark” which features a slider on the frontpage, to get the posts in the slider you have to make theme stickies and give them a featured picture. The problem is on my blog the stickies in the slider will ofcourse also be stickied there, which is something i don’t want.

I want to display the post in order from new to old just like it does by default and ignore the fact that the posts are stickies. My php skills are very low and doesn’t go much further than partly understanding what the code does. By logical thinking i would say that there is code to pick out the stickies and make them first on the blog, so this means if i delete some code they will not. Also does it not show stickies anymore at all if i do that.

I tried to use plugins like Q2W3 and another one to order posts, this didn’t work sadly.
