Does the wp-rss2.php file exist in your blog directory? It’s coming up as 404
I contacted my web hosting service on this issue as well and their reply was:
“It seems to be only the rss page not working for some reason. All the other php pages loading up fine. Did you try to call support from wordpress on the issue?”
Also, using an RSS check I get:
“Sorry! There was an error: Can’t get the address of “validationErrors” because the table doesn’t have an object with that name.
The error was detected by Frontier 9.0 in mainResponder.respond. Webmaster: dave@userland.com. Time: Sun, 15 Jan 2006 14:21:00 GMT.”
I wound up doing a reinstall and removing feed: from my sidebar or footer (depending on the case – I have three blogs).
The feeds appear to be working.
Well, I spoke too soon. The feeds are not working. Using Bloglines I can see old posts for my sites but no new ones.
This is so frustrating.
Incidentally, the rss feed for this thread doesn’t work either.
My reinstall did work. Bloglines was just down.
I am having a problem with my feed too. I have searched everywhere for a solution including the esoteric solution of deleting a semi-colon in the wp-rss2 file…
I am trying to get Feedburner to pick up my podcast (at http://wineindustryreport.finewinepress.com)
the Rss feed is fine – but it doesn’t show what it should. The rss2 feed has some parsing problem and I have no idea how to fix it (no, no blank lines in the index file)…
Should I have posted this somewhere else? If so, sorry.
Thanks for any help
OK-sorted. Reinstalled the wp-rss files. Check the validator and took out some controversial tagging. Trial and error… slowbut sure…
