Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch.
You’re not the first person to ask this and I’m starting to think I should put the option within my plugin itself.
Enabling shortcodes within the sidebar widgets is a WordPress configuration setting.
Here is the fundamental solution:
http://www.wprecipes.com/how-to-add-shortcodes-in-sidebar-widgets
If you hold on though, I’ll release an update in a day or so that will provide this setting for you and solve this problem for everyone once and for all 🙂
Thanks for asking the question. I’ll update this post once I release an update with this in it.
Cheers,
Paul.

Okay, this is done! In version 2.1.1.1 there’s a new option to do this. 🙂
Let me know how this works for you.
Cheers,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Sorry for the delay, I’ve been on vacation the past week. I’ve downloaded the new version and will give it a spin tomorrow when I’m at work. I’ll report back if there are any problems.
Thanks very much!

Post-test report:
Yes, it works! I just had to check the box for this new option (on the “Bootstrap CSS” settings page) and then I tested a bit of code in the sidebar and it worked perfectly!
Thanks very much!

No problem! Glad it worked for you.
Would you mind, if you had a spare moment, giving the plugin a nice positive (5*?) rating on the WordPress.org repository?
It helps just lend some support/legitimacy to the plugin to reassure other users.
Many thanks,
Paul.
