Widget placement

    I’m just getting started with WordPress and can’t figure out why the widgets on my “home” (start) page are within the post box and why if you click on the Government menu, the widgets are to the right where they are supposed to be. Also, I created a new post thinking it would appear on the Home Page (start page) and it isn’t showing up anywyere. I typed “Welcome to the new Eads Colorado website”.

    The URL is http://www.eadscolorado.org. Anybody know what the fix is on the widgets?
