First of all, your site looks great. I think the first thing to do is to see what plugins you are using. You could be using a particular gallery plugin. When you are in Admin, click on the Plugins tab. Then see what plugins are “activated”. This will be a help.

I was looking for a gallery plugin but you have none. However, I did find that you are using SimpleViewer for your galleries, outting each gallery on a page. If you go to their web site, you’ll see instructions on how to create galleries. There is also a SimpleViewerAdmin. Do you know if you have that (I would think you do)?

I think I may be lost now. I don’t have Simple Viewer Admin, if by “have” you mean software or password to a site? I do not. Presumably the absent designer does.
If you look at one of your galleries, at the bottom on the right hand column above the description, you see SimpleViewer V1.7. This is managing your galleries.

Maybe I didn’t say this, but I DO have access to my admin page where I can sheck shortstats, and edit. It’s just that I don’t know how to do it. I can get on that page and check hits, search strings, etc. I have also been able to figure out how to edit the text on my “events” page. What I don’t know how to do is add new images to the galleries. And I don’t have Simple Viewer or any Word Press software.
Does that make more sense?
I’m worried that I can’t contact the web host Lizard Dreaming. The second week I had the site up I ran out of bandwidth and had to ask for more. She was still around and responding at that time, so she increased it for me. But what happens if I have other isssues? I have a contract and my payments are up to date, but the designer/server is out of contact.

Sounds like you may need to move your website some place else. There are tons of affordable hosting companies out there and many have unlimited bandwidth too. I know my company does anyway.
I am the web designer allegedly “abandoned” lolear. I would just like to state that I provided lolear with *all* information needed to update and maintain her website, including information about how to access and maintain her SimpleViewer gallery via SimpleViewerAdmin.
She is correct that the Lizard Dreaming website no longer works, and that I moved. However, I sent a notice to all of my clients stating that I was shutting down Lizard Dreaming (although that email address still works) and that I would be moving to New York City.
I’m sorry that lolear had the issues with updating her site that she did, however, I supplied her with all necessary information to update and maintain her site, as agreed to in our original agreement. She has always been free to contact me, and is still free to do so if she chooses.
As always, there are two sides to every story…
