Slider stopped working

    Background: I am building a new Multi-site web presence at http://bishopstoneandhintonparva.org/ and I am a seasoned techie but WordPress newbie.

    I have one slider that opens up my home page (above) that works just fine. I have a second slider that I have inserted into a text widget in the sidebar that worked perfectly for a while but now does not work and displays the slider short code as text instead.

    The only change that i made that may have impacted this behaviour is I desinstalled and deleted another slider plug-in that I had not found to be acceptable. The plug-in I desinstalled and deleted was
    the Promotion Slider (wordpress.org/extend/plugins/promotion-slider/).

    Any guidance to get this second sidebar slider working again would be very much appreciated.

    Update: Slider works again after re-installing Promotion Slider plug-in and activating it. Do the two plug-ins share the same file and is one of these files removed by the deinstall of the Promotion Slider plug-in ?
