If you want to remove WP completely from your website, then just delete the folders where you have installed WP and also, delete the Database you created to run the WP site.
This makes it absolutely certain that you won’t have any traces of WP on your site. Your site will breakdown but there won’t be any sign of WP in it.

so the issue that stands.
the website is complete .. the address being
http://www.site.com/wp
i want to get rid of the /wp of this ..
simple process but have found it painstakingly difficult!
