• I have been searching for similar answers for some time now and have tried a lot of the solutions but none of them works for me…

I want to remove the white area at the bottom, if it is possible, but the most important is to remove the text “SENASTE INLÄGG” = “recent posts” in english.

    My website is almalea.se
I have used the twenty eleven “platform”

I would be so happy if I can get it to disappear.
(I removed the “Search area” by deleting all te text in searchform.php)

  • Hi! Do you want to remove the text “SENASTE INLÄGG” because you’d like your pages to look more like webpages rather than a blog?

To remove the text, you need to deactivate the widget. To do that, you can go to Appearance -> Widgets, and then on the right side where it says Main Sidebar, drag the Recent Posts widget to the available widgets area.

Yes, I want it to be more like a webpage.

The only widget I have is for the html text in the footer below “senaste inlägg”

It’s the same if I put the widget there and if I set the number of posts to show to 0.

    Thanks anyway!

Deactivating the “Recent Posts” widget by removing it from the sidebar would not show it on the pages so you wouldn’t even have to set the number of posts to show to 0.

If you want your blog to look like a webpage, you can follow these instructions to first make the home page a static page: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page. Afterwards, you can make other pages Child pages of the home page. To do that, from the Dashboard, edit each pages’ Page Attributes to set the Parent to be the Home page that you made static.

Sorry my first response wasn’t clear, but I hope this helps.

    Thank you!

I’ll read the instructions and try it, feels like it could help me!
