• From the provided installation-related literature for wordpress (3.4.2). I think that it is time to provide the potential users of wordpress.org with a user-friendly setup.exe interface that will guide people, regardless of their educational background, in the process of installation. The present precess “involves” people in the technicalities of programming, no matter how simple the procedure is. For illustration, the (potential) user is asked to go to the file wp-config-sample.php and save it as wp-config.php, and that he/she must introduce the required info there, NOT in the file wp-confi-sample.php. For many “ordinary” people, this would not be comfortable. While a simple setup.exe interface would be straightforward, asking people to fill in the required info. This would be similar to Windows interface, where millions of users use it professionally without knowing ( much, or even nothing) about the related programming technicalities.
On the other hand, qualified people remain able to participate in the technical/programming efforts to improve the features of the software.
