xampp to blacknight

I built a website using a local host (xampp)i now want to upload to blacknight server but it is not happening. I’ve went down the filezilla route but with no joy. there is some kind of coding error, wp-settings.php file. I’ve tried running ‘Relace db v 2.1.1 – http://interconnectit.com- Thinking this is the solution but get stopped in my tracks when prompted to identify threads. Im totally new to all this and have no ideas how to proceed from here or even if i’m on the right path. I’m hoping this is a normal problem as ive followed all instructions in setting up my website which runs fine on local host and also followed instruction for uploading wordpress to blacknight (http://www.webdistortion.com/2009/05/03/an-idiots-guide-to-wordpress-installation-and-setup/). Although this article was clearly aimed at uploading the wordpress package as opposed to built website. Im hoping someone can help and its driving me nuts
