• The first time I load a WordPress website on my server it seems like the server takes about 30 seconds to wake up. After it “wakes up” everything usually loads pretty fast. If I leave it alone for 20 minutes or so it seems to go to sleep and takes the 30 seconds to wake up again.

I’m sure this is not a problem with WordPress and I have not experienced this problem on other hosts. A clean install of WordPress has the loading delay. So it is either a host problem or a server settings problem.

The sites with the problem are hosted on a VPS server from a hosting company with a pretty good reputation (WiredTree). It is an Apache server with Litespeed. Are there any server settings that might need to be changed or do I need to get the host to check if there are any issues with my server?
