[Plugin: SEO Ultimate] My Own Custom Title

I have the following between my title tags:

<title>"My Site Information - <?php echo $title; ?>"</title>

Now with the plugin activated, and the fields of the plugin left blank, for the page in question, it will display as the title, for that page, the Site Title set in General/Settings – understandably.

The above variable $title is placed there within a template file for a specific page. I need it that way.

I also, as mentioned in the FAQ on the download page, deactivated the SEO settings in the post page in the Screen Options but that still didn’t work. The SEO fields are still left blank but the main Site Title is still being displayed for the page.

I have custom code in the template that determine what the title should be based on some parameters, and I’d like that variable to display it’s values as the title for that page if possible.

Has anyone experienced this?
