Header not Showing

Hey guys!

On my wordpress theme silverOrchid there is a box in theme options for you to place the html code to a banner that will go into the header. It’s a small banner on the right 468×60.

I put in the following code, and the header still isn’t showing:

</a>

1. I’ve checked it on an html checker website and the picture showed, but is there something wrong with the code??
2. I’ve been trying to contact the theme owner, but he’s not very quick to reply, and I need this done sooner. Does anybody here have suggestions as to how I can make this happen?
