How do I put social media icons in navigation bar

    Hi,

    I am creating a site using the “responsive theme”. I would like to put a search box and a link to Facebook just above the main navigation. Right now I believe my main menu is in what is termed the “header menu”. I would like to put the search box and facebook icon in the “top menu”. I created a custom link to facebook in the “top menu”. How do I put a social media icon in that spot where it says “facebook”. I would also like to add a small “search box” right next to the facebook icon. I can’t figure out how to put a search widget in the top menu either. Help???

    In themes widgets section ,Under Top widgets drag the social media , search widgets and click save.
    Widgets will be displayed in the top above the menus.

    When I go to (Responsive theme):

    Dashboard
    Appearance
    Widgets

    I don’t have a “Top Widgets” option. I have these options:

    Main Sidebar
    Right Sidebar
    Left Sidebar
    Right Sidebar Half Page
    Left Sidebar Half page
    Home Widget 1
    Home Widget 2
    Home Widget 3
    Gallery Sidebar
    Colophone Widget

    Under “Theme Options” there is a link for “Social Icons”. When I click on that, I get a drop down menu for all the social media icons and a place to enter the url address. But this automatically puts the social media icon in the footer area. I really would prefer them to appear at the top of the page.
