Why is it not possible to format the A’s? This should be possible, for instance: it is not possible to add links???

We’ve actually disabled this feature by default on the newer version. I didn’t realize that the WordPress excerpt filter stripped out HTML, too. I think the feature may still be useful for some, so it’s now in there but turned off when you first activate the plugin.
