Can't access homepage

I just tried to add another sidebar to my website by adding another line of code to the index.php file. When it didn’t work, I removed the line of code so that the index.php file is now exactly the way it was before I changed anything. However, now my blog posts on the main page won’t load. Header, footer, sidebar, and the static pages are all fine. You can even go to individual blog posts and they work. It’s just the main page that doesn’t work. I also used Fetch to replace the index.php file with a version pre-edit. I’ve looked around on Google and the forums. Neither worked. I’ve logged out of and into my dashboard to check the index.php file, and it’s identical to how it was before. I’m not very proficient at code and I’m not sure how to fix this problem. Can anyone please help me?
