• I need to upload files larger than 10MB to my site. I can do so directly to the server via FTP, but can’t through my WP 2011 Theme, Media Library. I also can’t upload files larger than 10MB through my Cool Video Gallery plug-in.

The files uploaded directly to the server show up in my Media Library because I used a plug-in to get them to do so. However, I can’t insert or otherwise use any of these files on my pages or posts or using the Cool Video Gallery plug-in.

I am using Blue Host and they don’t have a file size upload limit that I have encountered. Already uploaded large files to server via FTP with no problem.

Already tried the php.ini fix that appeared in the old threads and it didn’t work.

Please help me fix this because I must be able to upload larger video files to the site.

    Thank you much.

  • php.ini configuration is the way to limit upload size. I don’t think wordpress limit the site. have you changed the “post_max_size” in php.ini to a larger number?

Yes, I already did all that. I used a php.ini file specifically designed for Blue Host. I put it in the wp-admin folder for the domain hosted on Blue Host. Nothing happened. File size max was set to 64MB.
