• Hi,
I have recently migrated my account details from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, with my blog on a self-hosted site (or at least someone from my hosting provider did it for me).

My problem is I now want to start changing the appearance of my blog and I have been informed I do this by accessing my blog through my old wordpress.com log-in.

When I try doing this (for example, changing the header display), the change does not get through to my self-hosted wordpress.org site.

I am also reading someting about wordpress.org admin screens which look different from the old wordpress.com screens. What am I doing wrong?

Also, when I try going to the mydomain.com/admin-wp page, it directs me to my wordpress.com page.

Hope the above makes sense. I am going round in circles.

    Thanks!

It should be mydomain.com/wp-admin, but your new site shouldn’t be connected to the old one. This kind of redirect is odd. What is your URL? What are both of your URLs, the new one and the wordpress.com one?
