• I’m using version 2.0.9 of Option Tree, and I am using it in a custom theme so that end users have an interface to change certain settings. Everything works just fine on a local installation on my computer, but now on my host (I’m using Hostgator) the plugin has a weird glitch.

I imported the settings and values for Option Tree using the built-in import and export of the plug-in, and it seems to be fine. Then, when users make changes on the hosted site Option Tree, many of the fields disappear from the theme option interface, and also the users can’t add more theme options. This doesn’t occur when editing the locally hosted version of the site. What’s stranger is that even after the fields vanish, the values for these vanished fields are still accessible by the site templates.

Is there a limitation on the number of theme options a site can have? I don’t know how many I have but it’s maybe dozens.

There are no error messages or anything that appear. When attempting to add a new field, the page reloads and the new field doesn’t appear.

Is there a way to fix this so that the hosted site plug-in can behave as it should?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The options will be available to the template because they are saved already and the UI disappearing does not affect the output of the saved data. However, as for your options disappearing that’s something I’ve not seen before and is pretty strange. There is no limit to the number of options you can save so that’s not going to be the issue. unless you can give me full access to WP, FTP, and your DB i can’t test it. If you want to send me those credentials my email is derek[at]valendesigns.com

    Cheers,
    Derek
