Unwanted Email Notifications from WordPress.com

As of 5pm Eastern Daylight Time this evening, I have been getting email notifications from WordPress.com every time anyone posts a comment to my blog. This is happening even though I have no “sites” selected to be followed at wordpress.com and have all “email notification” settings turned off on my blog.

When I follow the “modify your subscription options” link in the emails from wordpress.com, it allows me to delete the subscription but the very next time I post, comment, or even approve someone else’s comment I get automatically subscribed again.

I wasn’t even at my computer when this change took place and I cannot for the life of me figure out why it is happening. But my computer and phone are getting bombarded with duplicative emails that I do not want. I already approve all comments manually (moderated) so I don’t need emails telling me the content of the comments I just approved.

Any advice or assistance would be very much appreciated!
