• I am currently using the Pagelines Lite Platform 1.4.2 theme and would like to have separate rows on the front page for a different post by category – each row would be a category. I was thinking boxes would do this but cannot get 1 box per row.

Ideally we’d like to have several separate rows (?boxes) with each one dedicated to a category and with a different blog post in each so we can highlight several categories on the main page. Rather than a blog roll with all of them in chronological order. I see this as showing the “most recent” post within a given category in a box dedicated to that category.

I am at a loss to have the post we publish also show in a different location, i.e. the box. Thanks.

  • The Blog and Blog Post templates in Pagelines have a feature called the Content Sidebar. Contrary to its name, it stretches across the page horizontally. Maybe you could use that along with a plugin like this:

    Category Shortcode

…to display the most recent post in each category. You could put a text widget in the Content Sidebar and type in the shortcodes generated by the plugin.
