Domain transfer to wordpress

    I own a domain with a hosting company, I can’t remember which.. I want to use it with wordpress.. how do I do this? I’m halfway through installing wordpress and MAMP and i’ve got to the final step where it says; Lastly, we’ve got to run WordPress’ famous 5-minute install. Visit your local site (localhost:port or localhost:port/wordpress), and enter the following information into the database setup form:

    database name: wordpress
    database host/server: localhost
    database user: root
    database password: root

    Do I need to transfer my doamin, or do i just enter the username and password I use to log onto admin panel of my hosting?
