    The new developers failed to mention in the latest NextGen update that they will be including two trackers in the update; Facebook Connect and Twitter Button.

    The two trackers do not appear on the front end of the site, but are tracking all logged in users accessing the dashboard area.

    Twitter Button

    Data Collected:
    Anonymous (Browser Information, Cookie Data , Date/Time, Demographic Data, Hardware/Software Type, Internet Service Provider, Interaction Data , Page Views )
    Pseudonymous (IP Address (EU PII), Search History, Device ID (EU PII))

    Data Sharing:
    Aggregate data is shared with 3rd parties., Anonymous data is shared with 3rd parties.

    Data Retention:
    18-24 Months

    Facebook Connect

    Data Collected:
    Anonymous (Browser Information, Demographic Data, Interaction Data , Page Views )
    Pseudonymous (IP Address (EU PII))

    Data Sharing:
    Data is shared with 3rd parties (specifics undisclosed).

    I can understand the developers wanting to track how people interact with their plugin and don’t have a problem with this (especially if it is disclosed) but to track the entire dashboard is wrong imo.

    Thank you for bringing this back to our attention!

    I mentioned this right after the new version was released, but this seems not to care the new owners of this plugin. Too bad!

    I don’t want Facebook to know what I’m doing in my backend. So remove those elements!!
