WP Carousel not working

I’m not getting any Javascript errors but the carousel just won’t animate. Instead all of the images just show up static. I read in another post that you needed wp_head() and wp_footer() but I’m using get_header() and get_footer() and the other functions break my site. Is there any other reason why this won’t work?
