header problem at start of install

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/dummeow/public_html/ibabble/wp-config.php:1) in /home/dummeow/public_html/ibabble/wp-admin/install.php on line 15

    Why is this here and what does it mean?
    Then it tells me to go onto the first step of installation..?

    should i reinstall or.. how should i try to correct this problem?

    Heh – it’s ages since I’ve seen this on here- and it’s really easy to fix 🙂

    Download wp-config.php
    Open it in Notepad
    The very very first thing must be
    <?php
    No spaces before it at all, and it must not be anywhere except at the very top.

    That will sort the problem, but there might be another there too. Scroll to the bottom of the file to where there is
    ?>
    Place the cursor between those two characters
    Press and hold DELETE on your keyboard for 10 seconds
    Press >
    Then save without doing anything else, even a carriage return.

    That will sort it all out 🙂

    after installation i also see this in one of the pages:

    WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1]

    plus, i can’t preview my site. seems like no images would show up. :/
