Page within a page?

The theme (Powerplay) has two options for homepage. Either you can use their home page settings.. in which you have 5 different widget spaces and the main content in the centre is pulled from another page of your choice.. or you just choose a static page to be your homepage.

The problem is with the first option is that google sees your homepage as having no content as its all just short code of some kind pulling information from another page. Bad for SEO and adsense doesn’t know what you page is about.

The problem with the second option is that I lose all the extra widget areas.

There is no support now for this theme, was just wondering if anybody had similar experience or new how to tell google there are words in that page.

At the moment I have had to set my homepage just as static page so it works ok. But if you wanted to see an example of the page within a page setup I’ve done it on another page..

so on /rose-quartz-gifts what you are seeing is the ‘homepage’ sidebars on the top and bottom and in the content area is actually the content of my a-store located on another page.

Its not really a problem with the gifts page as there is no text content anyway but i really wanted the homepage to have the homepage widgets active rather than just a page.

Sorry if its a bit complicated or Ive missed something.. it is quite hard to write what I mean.
