Help Configuring NextGen Gallery

We have added 3 galleries to a page to display pictures from 3 different projects. The Portfolio page displays exactly as we like (filmstrip) until we click on an image from any one gallery – all the galleries change to single-image display and the page reloads at the top. Can anyone help me with this? We would really like to be able to display each project separately. I tried Album, but it there’s a whole different set of problems with that.
