• Hello. I am trying to move my blog from Blogger to WordPress, but I am having trouble importing all of my past posts. I used XMLSplitter to split up my large XML file into three smaller XML files due to the 15 MB Limit (each file is about 9 MB) I imported each of my XML files to my new WordPress blog, but only two of them have been shown to be imported properly. My blog goes back to May 2008, but the earliest that I can see is September 2008. My archive of September 2008 to December 2011 is imported perfectly, but I also want to include May 2008 to August 2008 I imported the last of my XML files repeatedly, and still nothing happens. I don’t know what else to do. A little help here?

  • All I can think of is:
    1. One file is somehow corrupt, try to export again.
    2. An imported file size limit is in place (could also be # of fields etc)
    3. Create a new MySQL DB, update your wp-config.php file appropriately, and import the file with earliest posts first.

Never mind. I figured out how to import my blog into WordPress. I imported it directly from my original blogspot blog. Only setback is that I keep getting duplicate posts.
