Having WordPress admin rights doesn’t mean you have free access to their web space. You have admin access to WordPress only.
You can view theme and plugin files in the built in WordPress theme editor. That doesn’t mean you will have permissions to edit them however.
What would I need from the owner? So I can tell them.
I guess that comes down to what the owner has enlisted you to do on their web site. If they want you to have complete control over all of the files on their web space, they will have to give you ftp access. If they only want you to be an administrator on their WordPress web site, then they’ve already given you all you need by assigning you a WordPress administrative roll.
So she must have FTP user and password. I asked her and she didn’t what I was talking about. So lets say she doesn’t have this info. How would she optain this from?
The individual who installed the site would have that information. The owner would contact the hosting service, and after verification of ownership, they would be able to assist in recovering credentials for the account.
Oh yea, one other thing, is it possable that word press is hosting it. I think she just bought a domain name and starting building her blog on wordpress.
