Hi Stephen,

I developed a work around for my map issue.

I am wanting to edit the page the plug in automatically created, I just want to add some simple text under ‘EVENTS’ at the top of the page.

Yup, just move the plug-in template files into your theme and edit theme there. In this case you want to edit the archive-event.php. See this first http://www.harriswebsolutions.co.uk/event-organiser/documentation/editing-the-templates/
