Daft question about multisite users…

    First multisite so please bear with me.

    I’m still experimenting & I’ve setup a subsite with a woocommerce facility. If an un-registered user adds an item and gets to the checkout they can register there & a password is emailed to them.

    That all seems to work fine but.. when revisiting the site, logging-in just takes you to a blank page (wp-admin). If you navigate back to the subsite I would expect the thin toolbar at the top of the page to say “howdy user”, but it’s completely missing. It shows up on the main parent site, but not the subsite?

    Is that normal? I checked the show toolbar setting on their user profile.

    Have you disabled plugins? Sounds like a plugin is not playing well with WordPress.

    Thanks for the tip.

    Yeah there is quite a lot of plugin action going on. I’ll disable them and see if that makes a difference.

    So you would expect a user to see the login toolbar, (when logged in)…

    Thanks for confirming that guys (never had a site with registered users before).

    Well I unplugged the plugins… bad news. It looks like it’s woocommerce that’s causing the missing toolbar 🙁

    This is really annoying – It took ages getting it play nicely without screwing-up my styling.

    Anyone else had this issue? Any solutions, apart from finding another ecommerce program?

    ….. My mistake. In one of the numerous settings I’d checked the “prevent customers from accessing the wp admin page”….

    Well it seemed like the right thing to do at the time!
