• Hi. When I type in to get to the login page for wordpress.org, this page comes up:
    “Page Not Found”
I went through the 5 steps of installation very carefully so I don’t understand what could be wrong, so if any of you very smart people out there could help me out, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you in advanace. 😉

Oh, here is what I type in for my login page:
    communicom.com/social/wp-admin/install.php

    Does that look right? 🙂

  • It looks as though the site is locked by IP address so I can’t look around but that is not your login page. Assuming that WordPress is installed at communicom.com/social/ your login page would be communicom.com/social/wp-login.php or (more or less the same) just communicom.com/social/wp-admin/

    @s_ha_dum,
The site is returning error HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden. Perhaps, it has to do something with the server. Please check it.

    Yes, it says:

The Web server you are attempting to reach has a list of IP addresses that are not allowed to access the Web site, and the IP address of your browsing computer is on this list.

That is, it is locked by IP address. I don’t know if that is intentional or not, but I am guessing it is.

I wonder why and who would lock me out…I never did anything wrong. How do I get it unlocked? There has to be some way to solve this. 🙂

    Is this your site?

If it is your site you have some some permission/configuration problems. Chances are you should talk to your host, but maybe with enough information we can help.

My site is communicom33.com/social. I can’t contact my host because I have to pay to get an answer and I can’t afford it. That is why I have the free hosting. Unfortuantely, that is the only way I can go right now. So hopefully you brainiacs can help…lol 🙂 Can you please tell me what specific information you need and I will be more than happy to provide that for you.
    Thanks a bunch!!
    😉

Oh, here is what I type in for my login page:
    communicom.com/social/wp-admin/install.php

It seems that you are not even what your domain name is!

Ok. Well, posting the correct URL to start with would have helped.

But… that domain (communicom33.com) doesn’t appear to be registered anyway? Try it: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp

    What is going on?
