Is the button not inserting the images even though it’s says add to OptionTree? It shouldn’t write over the default image uploader, it should only change the button on the theme options page.
Your correct that the add to OptionTree option when clicked does not upload the images. Interestingly, the theme, Energize, seems to be the problem. When deactivating the theme and activating the TwentyEleven default theme, OptionTree showed up on my dashboard and was able to upload images when the add to OptionTree button was clicked. When reinstalling the Energize theme, the OptionTree plug in disappeared from the dashboard and when trying to upload a header image in the theme options section, the add to OptionTree button did not work. I’ve contacted the theme developer for assistance.
I’m sorry you’re having trouble. Lucky for you there is a new version of OT coming very soon (early next week) and who knows maybe the author will upgrade their theme or maybe the new plugin will stop their theme from doing weird stuff. If you’re still in the process of building the site out you may as well try it too and see if it works for you. I’d be interested in knowing how everything went.
