my dashboard when creating a post has disappeared, the design/html tab doesn’t work either and when i open up any old posts to updat the the tags, keywords, seo have disappeaered or it wont let me add seo (yoastseo plug in)
Try this:
1. Deactivate all the plugins
2. Delete inactive plugins
3. Check if the site still has problems.
If the site comes back to normal, activate plugins one by one till so that you can identify the plugin causing problems.
If the above tests fail, you have to revert to the Twenty Eleven theme and do the above tests again.
if i deactivate plug ins will i loose all the seo work i’ve did so far? ive near 4 years worth, the website is just me i would be loosing months if not years of seo work
Not exactly. You can activate the plugins again. In fact, all plugins are activated and deactivated several times in a year. The SEO work done by the plugin is stored in your database. That will remain there even if you delete the plugin permanently.

ive deactivated them all its certainly a plug in as things are working fine again, just need to find which plug-in i have a rough idea so i may try that one first

I’m seeing this same behavior, using classic theme
de-activate your plug-ins then check everything is ok now with theme everything is ok, then one by one activate the plug ins and check which plug-in thats casuing the problem
